Getting started
Build a strong foundation with chords, rhythm, simple melodies and the confidence to enjoy playing.
Flexible in-person and online guitar lessons informed by 23 years of playing, 17 years of music teaching and hands-on experience performing and writing original music.
I have been playing guitar for 23 years, combining a lifelong passion for music with extensive experience as both a performer and educator. After studying music at GCSE and Level 3, I went on to study at and graduate from the British Institute of Modern Music.
For 17 years, I have worked as a classroom music teacher, teaching students from Year 6 through to Year 13. That experience has helped me understand how to support learners at different stages, build confidence and make musical progress feel achievable.
Alongside teaching, I have performed in wedding bands and numerous original-music bands. I am currently the lead guitarist, songwriter and backing vocalist for The King Rooks. I bring that real-world performing and songwriting experience into my approach to guitar tuition.
